It’s a fresh opportunity for cross-country ski enthusiasts!

The Bow Valley Nordic Ski Club is a new group for young-at-heart cross-country skiers based in the Bow River corridor in Southern Alberta. We make tracks in Calgary, Canmore, Bragg Creek, Kananaskis, Banff, Lake Louise, and beyond. We are inspired by crisp winter days gliding on freshly groomed ski trails with like-minded friends.

Join us for social skiing, XC ski lessons and group training programs.

Masters training program

Our Calgary and Canmore-based masters program helps adults build fitness and finesse on cross-country skis in a social group training format. Our program includes:

  • Dryland and on-snow fitness training

  • Instruction in classic and skate skiing techniques

  • Online video analysis (new in 2026/27)

  • Year-round strength training

  • Camps to develop fitness and technique

  • Participation in loppets and races
